Prof. William Boelhower

Professor Boelhower is a Robert Thomas and Rita Wetta Adams Professor of Atlantic Studies at Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge. He has been a Full Professor in American Literature at the University of Verona and a Chair of American Literature there. He has taught at the University of Trieste, Italy and the University of Venice, Ca' Foscari, Italy. He was a Fulbright Lecturer in American Literature there as well. He has published extensively on race, ethnicity, immigration literature and Atlantic studies. He is senior editor of international journal Atlantic Studies, published by Routledge (Taylor and Francis), member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Foedus (Culture, Economie e Territori) and, a member of the Editorial Board of the journal Canadian Review of American Studies. He was a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Forum Italicum, A Journal of Italian Studies, a member of the Editorial Board of the journal Prospero, of the University of Trieste, contributing European editor for the review High Plains Literary Review, and a review editor for the journal MELUS, and a director and founder of the journal of American ethnic studies In Their Own Words.
