Dr. Alexander Gungov
Associate Professor, Faculty of Philosophy, Sofia University
Alexander Gungov graduated from Sofia University with Ph.D. in Philosophy and M.A. in Philosophy and English. He has published on history of logic, social and political philosophy, and philosophy of manipulation. His papers have appeared in various essay collections at such international publishers as Routledge, Rodopi, and Martinus Nijhoff. He has served as the member of the Advisory Board of Encyclopedia of the Developing World published by Routledge in 2006. He is the Editor of Sofia Philosophical Review.
Dr. Gungov is Associate Professor in Logic at Sofia University where he also teaches Philosophy of Culture, Continental Philosophy, and Renaissance Humanism. His international experience includes a Senior Filbright Scholar position at Emory University’s Institute for Vico Studies in the spring of 1999 as well as several other long term visits to this school. Dr. Gungov has also taught with support by DAAD at the Pedagogical University of Freiburg, Germany.
