Valery Kolev is an Associate Professor of Modern Bulgarian History (1878-1944) at the Faculty of History, Sofia University. He teaches the regular course on Modern Bulgarian History to students of History, Archival Studies and other majors at the Faculty of History, as well as History of Bulgarian  Foreign  Policy  to  students of  International  Relations  at the  Faculty of Law of  Sofia University.  His Ph. D. dissertation dealt with the municipal policy of the Bulgarian government in the late 1920s and early 1930s. He has been an Oxford University Visiting Fellow.
